Private Pay Therapy for Saratoga, by Secure Video

I am Laurie Moore, LMFT, PhD, licensed in California and based in Santa Cruz. I work with people in Saratoga by secure video, so there is no waiting room and no one sees you arrive. My practice is private pay only, which means your care stays off insurance records.

Telehealth only, by secure video or audio, for people physically located in California. Laurie, LMFT.

A quiet path between vineyard rows in warm afternoon light

When the life looks settled from outside

Saratoga is quiet by design: hillside homes, long driveways, a small village center. For many people that quiet is a reward for years of hard work. It can also mean that worry, grief or strain in a marriage stays behind closed doors for a long time.

People from Saratoga often bring later-life transitions, the loss of a spouse or parent, children leaving home, or the question of what comes after a long career. Others are still at the height of demanding work. In either case, private pay and video keep the work discreet.

A quiet town can make it harder, not easier, to say that something is wrong.

Who I tend to see from Saratoga

Couples after the children leave

The house is quieter and the two of you are meeting each other again. We work on the pattern between you.

People facing retirement

An identity built on work, and a calendar that suddenly opens. We look at purpose and what comes next.

Grieving a spouse or parent

Loss in a house full of memories. We make room for it rather than working around it.

Leaders still at full speed

Demanding roles and a body that keeps the score. Confidential therapy for executives is part of my work.

How working together actually goes

We start with a free 20-minute consult by phone, text or video. You tell me what is happening; I tell you honestly whether I am a good fit. There is no obligation after that call.

If we continue, individual sessions are $250 for 50 minutes and couples sessions are $325, private pay. I do not bill insurance, so no diagnosis goes on an insurance record. I am EMDR certified and a certified hypnotherapist, and I draw on Internal Family Systems, AEDP and somatic work depending on what fits you. I do not treat bipolar disorder or schizophrenia, and I would refer you to a clinician whose practice is built for that.

Everything is remote. I have no office in Saratoga, and every session is by secure video or audio while you are in California.

Questions from Saratoga

Do you take insurance?
No. My practice is private pay only. Private pay means your care stays private. No insurance company reviews your sessions, and no diagnosis goes on an insurance record. Superbills are available on request if you choose to submit to your own plan.
Do you work with older adults?
Yes. I work with adults of all ages, including seniors, and with couples and families. Video works well for most people; if it ever does not, audio is available.
How do you keep things discreet in a small town?
Sessions are by secure video, so there is no office to be seen at. I hold our work with strict confidentiality, within the legal limits I explain at the start, and I do not confirm to anyone that you are a client.
