Therapy for the patterns you are ready to change.
I see adults, seniors, couples and families by secure video, anywhere in California. Grief leads my practice, and it sits alongside the everyday work of anxiety, trauma, relationships and transition.
What I treat
- Grief and loss
- My primary work — expressing, embracing and transforming grief.
- Patterns that will not change
- The same thought, the same reaction, the same result. We build a new one and practice it.
- Trauma, PTSD and complex trauma
- Paced work with what the body still remembers, with EMDR available.
- Anxiety
- Quieting the alarm and building steadier internal ground.
- Depression
- Restoring energy, meaning and connection, slowly and honestly.
- Relationship issues
- For individuals, couples and families who want a different pattern.
- Life transitions
- Retirement, caregiving, empty nest, career change, midlife, loss of role.
- Stress and burnout
- Recovering capacity without abandoning what you care about.
- Women's issues
- Identity, boundaries, motherhood, aging, voice.
- Spiritual and existential concerns
- Meaning, purpose, faith shifts, mortality, and the questions grief opens.
- Highly sensitive people
- Working with sensitivity as information rather than a flaw.

How I work
Approach
I draw on what fits the person in front of me rather than one fixed protocol.
Relief from the problem is the beginning of the work rather than its destination. Past that, I am helping you build toward peace, joy, purpose and fulfillment — in your relationship to your life, to yourself, to other people, and to whatever you name as larger than you, if you name anything at all. That part is entirely yours to define, or to leave out. Secular clients are equally at home here.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS)
- EMDR — certified since 1999
- AEDP
- ACT
- CBT
- Somatic work
- Mindfulness
- Hypnotherapy — certified hypnotherapist
- Expressive arts: art, dance, voice, writing and drama
- Positive Re-Narrative and Repatterning, my own approach
When I'm not the right fit
I do not treat bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. If that is what you are living with, you deserve a clinician whose specialty it truly is, and I would rather say so plainly than take you on. I am glad to point you toward care that fits.
