Private Pay Therapy for Los Gatos, by Secure Video

I am Laurie Moore, LMFT, PhD, licensed in California. Years ago I had an in-person office in Los Gatos; today my practice is entirely online, so people in Los Gatos meet with me by secure video from home or a private office. It is private pay only, which keeps your care off insurance records.

Telehealth only, by secure video or audio, for people physically located in California. Laurie, LMFT.

Soft light falling through tall redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains

A town that knows how to look composed

Los Gatos sits where the valley meets the mountains, and many people here live at the meeting point of two worlds as well: a demanding career over in the valley and a home life they want to protect. The town rewards looking composed. That can make it harder to admit that something has stopped working.

People from Los Gatos often bring the pressure of leadership roles, a marriage that has quietly become a logistics partnership, grief after a parent's death, or anxiety that shows up at 3am. Meeting by video means none of that requires a waiting room on a street where you know half the shop owners.

The hour can begin from your own study, with no drive over the hill.

Who I tend to see from Los Gatos

Executives and founders

Long weeks in the valley and a body that never fully switches off. We work on burnout, decisions and recovery.

Couples in a busy season

Two careers, children and a calendar that leaves no time to talk. Couples sessions are $325, private pay.

Adult children who are grieving

The loss of a parent, or caring for one who is declining. Grief is the center of my practice.

People who value discretion

In a small town, privacy matters. Video and private pay keep your care your own.

How working together actually goes

We start with a free 20-minute consult by phone, text or video. You tell me what is happening; I tell you honestly whether I am a good fit. There is no obligation after that call.

If we continue, individual sessions are $250 for 50 minutes and couples sessions are $325, private pay. I do not bill insurance, so no diagnosis goes on an insurance record. I am EMDR certified and a certified hypnotherapist, and I draw on Internal Family Systems, AEDP and somatic work depending on what fits you. I do not treat bipolar disorder or schizophrenia, and I would refer you to a clinician whose practice is built for that.

Everything is remote. I no longer have an office in Los Gatos, and every session is by secure video or audio while you are in California.

Questions from Los Gatos

Do you still have an office in Los Gatos?
No. I had an in-person office in Los Gatos earlier in my career, and my practice is now telehealth only. Every session is by secure video or audio, and you can join from anywhere private in California.
Do you take insurance?
No. My practice is private pay only. Private pay means your care stays private. No insurance company reviews your sessions, and no diagnosis goes on an insurance record. Superbills are available on request if you choose to submit to your own plan.
Can I meet from my office at work?
Yes, as long as it is private and you are in California. Many people book a midday or early evening session from a closed office or a parked car. Weekday sessions run from 12:00pm to 7:30pm, and Saturday from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.
